Historical Context
Rawal Bankidas Singh, son of Maharawal Sabal Singh of Jaisalmer, was granted Pithla as a jagir (feudal land grant), establishing it as a thikana (feudal estate). This marked the beginning of the Bankidashot subclan of the Rawlot Bhatis, who have since maintained their noble heritage and cultural traditions in Pithla.
The Rawlot Bhatis, being Yaduvanshi Rajputs, trace their ancestry to Lord Krishna through the illustrious Bhati dynasty.
